We are now accepting nominations for the position of NBHOA Director (Referee in Chief)

We are now accepting nominations for the position of NBHOA Director (Referee in Chief). Nominations must be submitted in writing to the Technical Director 30 days prior to the NBHOA AGM. The deadline this year will be May 13^th 

All candidates should make themselves available for a zoom call on the evening of May 27th. An interview time will be made available by the Board of Directors. 

The process for nominations would be; (1) nomination name sent to the TD by a senior official in good standing, (2) a follow up email of the person nominated accepting the nomination. 

You will find the guidelines below for the nomination process as per our constitution. 

405.0      A Chair who shall be elected in even-numbered years a 2-year period by the 9 Regional Zone Directors at the Executive Committee Meeting of the Annual General Meeting. They shall be a registered NBHOC senior official in good standing for the immediate 1 year prior to the election. Nominations for the position of NBHOC Chair shall be made in writing to the NBHOC office and be in that office 30 days prior to the NBHOC Annual General Meeting. The person being nominated shall advise the NBHOC office of their acceptance of the nomination in writing, 30 days prior to the NBHOC Annual General Meeting. Nominations will be allowed from the floor of the Executive Committee Meeting of the Annual General Meeting only in the case where there are no nominations received in the office by the designated time. The New Brunswick Hockey Officials Association Chair shall serve as HNB’s Representative on Hockey Canada’s Officials Council. It will be their responsibility to be up to date on the topics being discussed by the Hockey Canada Council that they are attending and to give a full report to the Board as soon as possible after the meeting.
