The Fredericton Caps Para Ice Hockey Team is actively seeking a passionate and experienced Head Coach for the upcoming season. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic and dedicated team that competes at a high level in the world of para ice hockey.

The Fredericton Caps are a competitive para ice hockey team based in Fredericton, New Brunswick. We are committed to fostering excellence in sport, promoting inclusivity, and empowering athletes with disabilities through high-performance hockey.
Role Overview:
As Head Coach, you will be responsible for the overall development, performance, and management of the team on and off the ice. You will work closely with athletes, assistant coaches, and team staff to create an inclusive, supportive, and competitive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement seasonal training plans and practice schedules
- Lead all on-ice and off-ice coaching sessions and game-day operations
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, growth, and inclusion
- Assess player development and provide regular feedback
- Collaborate with team management on logistics, scheduling, and athlete support
- Represent the team at league meetings and events as required
Qualifications:
- Prior coaching experience (para ice hockey experience is an asset but not required)
- Strong understanding of game strategy, skill development, and team dynamics
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt coaching style to meet individual athletes' needs
- Certification through Hockey Canada’s Coaching Program is an asset
- A clear vulnerable sector check is required
