The Pond to Podium Development Series connects coaches, players, officials and parents directly with resources from athletes, coaches and staff from Canada’s men’s, women’s and para hockey teams. It provides practical expertise and behind-the-scenes content for all levels of hockey to assist stakeholders in reaching the top of their own personal podium.

POND TO PODIUM – Mental PerformanceTuesday, April 27, 2021 | 6:00-6:45 p.m. ET
This session, led by Kim Thompson, mental training consultant with Canada’s National Women’s Program, will discuss strategies for players to incorporate mental training into their day-to-day lives, on and off the ice. The primary focuses will be confidence and mental toughness. For U11 and up. The session will be bilingual with sections delivered in English and French.REGISTER HERE
POND TO PODIUM – Mobility
Wednesday, April 28, 2021 | 6:00-6:45 p.m. ET
A fun and interactive at-home mobility session with Jeremy Steinbach, strength and conditioning coach with Canada’s National Women’s Program, and a national team athlete. Appropriate for all ages and levels. No equipment required. The session will be bilingual with sections delivered in English and French.

WOMEN’S HOCKEY SUMMIT – hosted by Hockey Canada’s Female Hockey Policy Committee

PANEL #1 | 11:30-12:30 p.m. ET
Women’s Leadership: Examples of how to advance the women’s game through role models and ambassadors will be discussed, along with the identification of steps to intentionally invite and encourage women into leadership positions by creating positive and welcoming environments. This session will be delivered in English with simultaneous French translation.
PANEL #2 | 1:00-2:00 p.m. ET
Growing the Game: Practical examples on how to grow women’s hockey and girls and women in the game will be shared. Experiences with growing an all-girls local hockey association as well as growing the number of girls playing in a local hockey association will be discussed. This session will be delivered in English with simultaneous French translation.
