North West Pionniers claim the 2018 Bell Aliant Peewee AAA Atlantic Championship

Edmundston, NB – The 2018 Bell Aliant Peewee AAA Atlantic Championship wrapped up today in Edmundston, NB with the North West Pionnierswinning a hard-fought battle against theBedford Blues by a score of 6-3.

In the Bronze Medal Game, the Newfoundland Representative Tri-Com Thunder defeated the New-Brunswick representative, the Moncton Hawks by a score of 4-3 in Overtime.

Also, taking place Saturday night was the Bell Aliant Peewee AAA Atlantic Championship Awards Banquet. The teams were fortunate to have former NHL player Gerry«Red»Ouellette on hand to talk to them about his hockey experiences and had great advice for all the players and coaches. The award winners were as follows:

  • Most Valuable Player -Bradly Nadeau from the North-West Pionniers
  • Top Forward - Mathieu Pelletierfrom the North-West Pionniers
  • Top Defence -Nathan Mossey from the Charlottetown Abbies
  • Top Goaltender -Noah Blanchard from the Bedford Blues
  • Top Scorer -Mathieu Pelletierfrom the North-West Pionniers

The 2018 Peewee AAA Atlantics were a great success with great hockey put on by all the teams representing their respective provinces. The host committee and the Nord-OuestPionniers would like to thank all the sponsors and teams for a great weekend of hockey.
