HNB Coach of the Month: Mick Donovan (Baie Sainte Anne, NB)
We are happy to announce that Mick Donovan (Baie Sainte Anne Mariners U11) is the HNB Coach of the Month!
“Mick’s love for hockey is unmatched. Even though his children are grown up, he continues to give back to the community. Mick has volunteered the last two seasons with a U 11 team as a hockey coach, mentor, and role model to aspiring young hockey players. Coach Mick has shown ongoing initiative, leadership and dedication to his team and had kept his team motivated during a very different hockey season. Mick has made an impact on this group that cannot be measured”.
“His Dad was his biggest influence, being the selfless community builder and volunteer that he was, as well being a role model for Mick. He had definitely followed in his Dad’s footsteps and has passed his knowledge to many children in the area.”
“Mick has inspired me to become more involved in my community and was also one of my role models growing up” stated an individual close to the team. “I am merely just one of the many lives he has influenced both on and off the ice. Mick always goes above and beyond teaching his tips and tricks for hockey and life as well. I believe more people need to know how good of a coach he really is and how appreciative we are of his influence.”
Mick will receive a Bauer Coaches bag, a one year subscription to the Hockey Canada Network App and a CoachMate package from Hockey New Brunswick. To nominate someone for Coach of the Month click here: https://hnb.ca/en/coaches/coach-of-the-month
