Hockey New Brunswick is pleased to award the J. Charles Daigle Award to Andy Clark.
The J. Charles Daigle Award was established in 1976 in memory of Charles Daigle to recognize exemplary individuals at the executive level. Award criteria includes character, dedication to the sport, ability to organize and administer, and outstanding contribution to the improvement of hockey within New Brunswick.
Andy is an active volunteer with the New Brunswick Hockey Officials Association and contributes to the growth and development of officials. He has served as a level five official for several years and supervises and mentors younger officials when called upon.
He is responsible for organizing and assigning officials for several divisions: U13 AAA male and female; U15 AAA male and female; U18 competitive A and C; U18 AAA female; Junior C; high school male and female; and senior. Andy also invoices all aforementioned levels in regards to payment of officials, as well as issues payments.
Andy’s community involvement is an example of his passion for growth and development. He helps administer officials clinics in Zone 2 as well as serves as game incident report co-ordinator. He is a volunteer soccer and volleyball coach, in addition to being an active volleyball official. He is president of the New Brunswick Interscholastic Athletic Association, the governing body for high school sports in the province. Andy is also principal of Hartland Community School.
