Hockey New Brunswick announces Coach Clinics, Player Camps and Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Workshops to be held in conjunction with World Junior Championship

Hockey New Brunswick has announced a number of activities that will be held in conjunction with the World Junior Championship. The activities will be held Saturday December 17th and Sunday December 18th, in Moncton, NB.

A list of activities and registration information is listed below:

PLAYER CAMPS:

The player camps and coach clinics will be held at the Superior Propane Centre (55 Russ Howard Dr, Moncton, NB).

The above Skills Sessions are $40.00/each and include an HNB Practice jersey, one-hour on session and two tickets to:

  • Monday, Dec. 26 – SUI vs FIN at 12:00 PM (U7, U9, U11)
  • Monday, Dec. 26 – USA vs LAT at 5:00 PM (U13, U13 Female, U11 Female)
  • Tuesday, Dec. 27 – SVK vs FIN at 12:00 PM (U7 Female, U9 Female)

*All Games will take place at the Avenir Centre.  

COACH CLINICS:

Hockey Canada Specialty Clinic

Each of the Coach Specialty Clinics will include a one-hour off-ice session and one-hour on-ice.

The focus of each clinic is to assist the coach in developing their knowledge and ability to teach and develop age-appropriate skills (based upon Hockey Canada’s Long-Term Player Development Model).

The above Coach Clinics are free of charge to attend; however, pre-registration is required as space is limited.  All attendees will receive one ticket to the Wednesday, December 28th USA vs. SVK, 5:00 PM at the Avenir Centre.

Equity. Diversity & Inclusion – workshops led by Normand Hector

Date – Sunday December 18

Location – Lounsbury Lounge, Avenir Centre

The focus of the workshops will be making our sport more inclusive, how we can accommodate the differences of people and ideas to promote diversity awareness.

Workshops will be open to players, coaches, minor hockey administrators and volunteers.

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM – Session open to U15 / U18 players – to register CLICK HERE

3:00 PM - 4:00 PM Session open to Minor Hockey coaches, volunteers, and administrators – to register CLICK HERE

All attendees will receive two tickets to:

  • Thursday, Dec 29 – FIN vs LAT at 12:00 PM (1 PM Session)
  • Thursday, Dec. 29 – SUI vs USA at 5:00 PM (3 PM Session)
