HNB Development Festival beginning July 16th
Dieppe, NB – July 16, 2021 – One hundred and twenty male and female hockey players, in three divisions have been invited to participate in the Hockey New Brunswick Development Festival beginning July 16th. The camps will run over two weeks in Dieppe at the Uniplex.
On the male side, forty players will be attending the Under-15 camp. Females will have forty-two in the Under-16 camp and thirty-nine in Under-18.
From the players invited, players will be selected in the Male Under-14, Male Under-15, Female Under-16, and Female Under-18 divisions to compete against the other Atlantic branches at the Atlantic Challenge Cup, held in Moncton on Thanksgiving weekend.
Each of the summer camps will feature inter-squad games each evening, as well as daily practices, fitness testing, and presentations from guest speakers on topics including fitness, mental preparation, and nutrition.
Some notable alumni that have participated in the HNB High Performance Program, and went on to play for Team Canada include Sarah MacDonnell, Nathan Beaulieu, Sean Couturier, Jake Allen, Patrice Cormier and Luc Bourdon.
