If you have ever wondered what it takes or if you have ever been interested in becoming an official then this section is for you. Here you will find what you need to know to get started with your officiating career.
FIRST: Complete on-line modules under your name and then register for a clinic. This must be done by all NEW officials.
SECOND: Attend a Officiating Level 1/2 Clinic, pay your Clinic Fees.
THIRD: Contact your local referee association to let them know you have completed your online course and attended a classroom clinic. Pay Registration/Membership Fees to your local association.

Returning Officials, check with your Zone Referee in Chief or Local Assc for dates and locations of Recert Clinics
NEW Officials MUST register online for a clinic AFTER they complete the online modules. All clinic fees will be paid at the clinic. For more information on clinic fees go to the "Clinic Registration" section.
With the initiative of the Hockey University part of the clinic, NBHOA/HNB is able to move their new officials’ clinic to half-day clinics. This has provided the opportunity for associations to host an on-ice clinic following the classroom clinic, check the clinic schedule for ice times.
- All BRAND NEW officials must complete the modules.
- You will need an eHockey account. If you already have an eHockey account, use your login info. If you do not remember your email, please contact Brad Jenkins. If you forget your password, click "Forgot Your Password?" and enter your email address you use for your login. Your password will be emailed to that address.
- All BRAND NEW officials must complete all the modules.
