TEAM ATLANTIC 2016 FEMALE UNDER-18 ROSTER ANNOUNCED
HALIFAX, NS – The Team Atlantic Female Under-18 program announced today the roster that will represent the Atlantic region at the 2016 National Women’s Under-18 Championship in November.
Team Atlantic is comprised of 20 players from each of the four Atlantic provinces: Nova Scotia – 8 (eight), New Brunswick – 4 (four), Newfoundland and Labrador – 5 (five), Prince Edward Island – 3 (three).
The team was selected following the Atlantic Challenge Cup this past weekend in Moncton, NB. The Team Atlantic coaching staff observed all female teams participating in the Atlantic Challenge Cup tournament which featured the top players from the four Atlantic provinces.

HOCKEY CANADA SELECTS 66 PLAYERS TO REPRESENT NATION
AT 2016 WORLD UNDER-17 HOCKEY CHALLENGE
Nation’s best young hockey talent gathers in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., Oct. 27-Nov. 5 for international competition
SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. – Sixty-six of Canada’s best young hockey players have been selected to represent their country at the 2016 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., Oct. 27-Nov. 5.
The process, which began with 111 players who took part in a seven-day development camp in late July, will be finalized next week when the 66-player roster is divided to make up the three Canadian teams – Team Canada Black, Team Canada Red, and Team Canada White - who will face the Czech Republic, Finland, Russia, Sweden, and the United States in their quest for gold.

21st Annual Atlantic Challenge Cup Wrap-Up
Moncton, NB - The 21st Anniversary of the Atlantic Challenge Cup concluded this afternoon in Moncton, New Brunswick and it was another tremendous success. The event had everything that a hockey fan would want to see and all games were very well attended by parents, the general public and a large number of scouts who took in games over the four days.
The Dodge Caravan Kids program is a joint effort between participating minor hockey associations and Chrysler, Jeep®, Dodge and Ram retailers. It provides up to $500 in funding and access to exclusive hockey benefits to novice-level hockey teams across Canada.
The goal of Dodge Caravan Kids is to help enrich the game of hockey for participating coaches, players and their families, and represents one of FCA Canada's key community efforts.

The 2016 TELUS Cup is leaving a lasting legacy on local hockey development.
The net profit for the event, held at the qplex in April, is $175,000, which will be donated back to the community in support of various grassroots hockey initiatives.
“We are thrilled to announce that our Legacy Fund is the largest in the history of the TELUS Cup,” said Aaron Kennedy, chair of the local host organizing committee. “This record-setting Legacy Fund is the result of phenomenal community support from our sponsors, volunteers and fans, and a tremendous performance by the silver-medalist Saint John Vito’s.”

HOCKEY NEW BRUNSWICK NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2016 MALE UNDER 16 HIGH PERFORMANCE PROGRAM STAFF POSITIONS
Fredericton, NB – Hockey New Brunswick is now accepting applications for the 2016-17 Male Under 16 High Performance Program.
Applications are being accepted for the following positions:

Hockey New Brunswick and Hockey Canada need your help to build awareness and to educate coaches and managers in your region on the benefits of using TeamHub.
We’re excited to share that TeamHub is now pre-loaded with minor hockey rosters! This new feature allows registered head coaches to import team rosters from the Hockey Canada Registry, making team set-up easier than ever.
Hockey New Brunswick will partner with minor hockey associations to deliver the FUNdamentals Demo Day during the regularly scheduled IP ice times. The events will be facilitated by HNB staff. Community leads may be asked for on ice assistance. MHA Initiation coaches will also be needed for on ice support. The program will be designed to accommodate 4 initiation teams at a time (35-50 players); association’s are encouraged to partner with neighbouring association’s to run two on-ice sessions accommodating between 70-100 players. All players participating in this event will receive a Hockey New Brunswick jersey.
The First Shift -2016-17
More than 144 the First Shift programs have been confirmed for the 2016-17 season in provinces right across the country, many of whom are already fully subscribed. The response from Canadian families is no surprise to program organizers.
Hockey New Brunswick will be hosting Fall Meetings in various locations around the province for Minor Hockey Associations. Association Presidents, VP’s and TD’s are encouraged to attend. To register for one of the evening meetings please click here

CANADA SET TO FACE UNITED STATES IN PAIR OF THREE-GAME SERIES
Rosters announced for National Women’s Development Team and National Women’s Under-18 Team; 46 players to wear the new Team Canada jersey on the ice for the first time
CALGARY, Alta. – The 23 players selected to Canada’s National Women’s Development Team and National Women’s Under-18 Team will wear the new Team Canada jersey for the first time as compete in a pair of three-game series against the United States in Calgary at the Markin MacPhail Centre from Aug. 14-21.
The two teams – Canada’s National Women’s Development Team and Canada’s National Women’s Under-18 Team – were selected following selection camps at the Hockey Canada National Teams’ Summer Showcase.
