RBC knows it takes a lot to make hockey happen, so we'd like to help those who work hard so we can all just play.

RBC Play Hockey™ will offer 20 grants, in the amount of $25,000 each to be awarded across North America. Grant recipients will also now receive one year of financial advice from RBC. In conjunction with our sponsorship partners Hockey Canada and USA Hockey, the RBC Play Hockey™ Grants program is the first of its kind to support hockey across the continent.

Woodstock Slammers

EASTERN CANADA JUNIOR A CHAMPS - The Maritime Junior Hockey League Woodstock Slammers won the Fred Page Cup Eastern Canadian Junior A Championship Sunday with a victory over the Central Canada Junior Hockey League champion Nepean Raiders in Kanata, Ontario. The Slammers will represent the region at the Royal Bank Cup National Junior A Championship May 5-13 in Humboldt, Sask.

Junior B Prov Champions

The Office Interiors Tri County River Cats have completed a "three peat" winning the provincial NB Junior B Championship 3 years in a row. The River Cats advanced to the finals with a 4 games to 1 victory over the Saint John Lancers in a best of 7 semi final. The River cats then duplicated that with a 4 games to 1 victory in a best of 7 final against the Moncton Vitos.

SLAMMERS WIN KENT CUP IN TRIPLE OVERTIME

WOODSTOCK, NB, April 20, 2012 - Friday night turned out to be a night of celebration for the Woodstock Slammers as the Maritime Junior Hockey League regular season champions edged the Yarmouth Mariners 4-3 in triple overtime in a game in which it seemed too bad that there had to be a losing team.

Moncton Vitos

TORBAY, NL, April 22, 2012 - The Moncton Vitos willing be flying home with the Don Johnson Cup, emblematic of the Atlantic Junior B Championship after a 2-1 overtime win over the highly favoured East Hants Penguins, Nova Scotia Junior B Champs on a goal by Josh LeBlanc. It was an outcome that few if any predicted when the Vitos took wing to Newfoundland earlier in the week.
