Hockey New Brunswick Announces Male Under 16 December Camp Roster

The road to the QMJHL Challenge will start December 27th – 29th in Saint John where the Male Under 16 team selection process will come into full stride.

The camp is a development camp in which players have been invited to participate in 2 practices, 2 games, as well as some off-ice activities. This is the second time Hockey New Brunswick has hosted a Christmas Camp of its kind for this group and it will be a great opportunity for the players and coaches to get to know each other and build toward a great run at the QMJHL Challenge.

Ottawa International Hockey Festival announces 32 winners of Canada 150 Rink ‘Hockey on the Hill’ contest
 
Winning teams from across Canada now have the chance to play on the Canada 150 Rink on Parliament Hill
 
OTTAWA – The Ottawa International Hockey Festival, known as the Bell Capital Cup, today announced the 32 winning teams from the Canada 150 Rink “Hockey on the Hill” contest. Thirty-two boys and girls teams representing all provinces and territories across Canada have won a trip to Ottawa to participate in the Bell Capital Cup and play at least one game on the Canada 150 Rink, located on Parliament Hill.

Female Under 13 Winter Jamboree

Hockey New Brunswick Female Hockey Commission will be hosting the first Under 13 Winter Jamboree. The Jamboree will take place at the Superior Propane in Moncton on December 29th, 2017. The event is open to all female players born in 2005 and 2006, currently registered on a Hockey New Brunswick sanctioned team.

Policy Overview
 
The updated concussion policy provides an overriding statement with respect to concussion prevention, concussion recognition and responsible return to play if a player suffers a concussion or is suspected of suffering a concussion, and defines the expectations with respect to responsible steps that should be taken in these areas.

66 PLAYERS CHOSEN TO REPRESENT CANADA AT 2017 WORLD UNDER-17 HOCKEY CHALLENGE

CALGARY, Alta. – Hockey Canada announced its 66-player roster selected to represent Canada at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, Nov. 5-11 in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John, B.C.
 
The 66 players will be divided into three teams representing Team Canada Black, Team Canada Red, and Team Canada White when they compete against the Czech Republic, Finland, Russia, Sweden, and the United States in their quest for a gold medal.

TEAM ATLANTIC ROSTER ANNOUNCED FOR 2017 NATIONAL WOMEN’S U18 CHAMPIONSHIP

DARTMOUTH, N.S. – The Team Atlantic Female Under-18 program announced today the final roster that will represent the region at the 2017 National Women’s Under-18 Championship in November.   
 
Team Atlantic is made up of twenty players chosen from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island. The final selection took place at the 2017 Atlantic Challenge Cup in Moncton, N.B. earlier this month.

Bell Aliant Peewee AAA Atlantic’s Awarded to Edmundston

Edmundston, NB – Hockey New Brunswick recently announced that EDZA West will host the Bell Aliant Peewee AAA Atlantic Championship next spring. The Host Team for the event will be the Nord-Ouest Pionneers.

The event will be hosted at the new state of the art Centre Jean-Daigle in Edmundston from April 5th-8th, 2018.

Hockey New Brunswick Skills Development Camp Coming to Bathurst, Woodstock, Grand Falls, & Florenceville.

Hockey New Brunswick will be offering local minor hockey players an opportunity to take part in a Hockey New Brunswick Skills Development Camps being held in Bathurst (Nov 4), Woodstock (Nov 4), Grand Falls (Nov 5), & Florenceville (Nov 24).

The primary focus of the camp is centred around on-ice fundamental skills, with off-ice time scheduled for life skill enhancement in areas such as respect, fitness, and teamwork. Off-ice fitness sessions are included involving games with team work and proper stretching.
