On Friday, Hockey Canada recognized this passion, and dedication to the game at the organization’s Spring Congress, this year held in St. John’s. Congratulations to the eight recipients, and to all the volunteers - we say thank you.

CANADA’S NATIONAL WOMEN’S TEAM TO HOST TRAINING CAMP IN FREDERICTON, N.B.

CALGARY, Alta. – Canada’s National Women’s Team is travelling east for its upcoming training camp that will be hosted in Fredericton, N.B., from May 26-June 12, 2017.

Team Canada National Women’s Team Hosting Skills Session and Meet and Greet with Hockey New Brunswick Female Players
Fredericton, NB – On Wednesday June 7th, 2017 Hockey New Brunswick in conjunction with the National Women’s Olympic Team will be hosting a Skills Session & Player meet and greet in Fredericton for Novice, Atom, and Peewee Female Hockey players.
Quispamsis, NB – May 11, 2017
70 of the province’s top players will participate in Hockey New Brunswick’s second Under 13 High Performance Skills Camp. Pee Wee AAA players from all over the province will gather at the Q-Plex in Quispamsis for a weekend of skill development, personal development, and competition. This is the second year for this event and is open to 2005 born players an introduction to Hockey New Brunswick’s High Performance Program. Participating players will go through:
- 1 Skills Practice
- 1 Power Skating Practice (Ough Power Skating)
- 1 Small Area Games and Competition Practice
- Hockey Canada Skills Combine/Skills Practice
- 1 Inter squad Game
Hockey New Brunswick is pleased to announce that four Major Midget franchises have been awarded for entry into the New Brunswick / PEI Major Midget League. Hockey New Brunswick completed a thorough bid selection process and met with all of applicants before awarding of the franchises.

Rosters and Schedules announced for HNB Cup
Fredericton, NB – April 18th, 2017 – Two hundred and ninety-seven male and female hockey players, in three divisions (Male Under-14, Male Under-15 and Female Under-16) will be taking part in the HNB Cup this weekend in Fredericton.
The HNB Cup is an identification camp used to identify the player’s who will advance to the Hockey Development Festival this July/August in Fredericton.

HOCKEY CANADA BUILDS ATHLETE PIPELINE WITH NATIONAL WOMEN’S PROGRAM STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING CAMP
83 under-18 and development-aged players invited to camp
CALGARY, Alta. – Hockey Canada has invited 83 to Canada’s National Women’s Program strength and conditioning camp taking place May 3-7 in Hamilton, Ont., of which 80 confirmed they can participate.
For the 30 development players and 50 under-18 women attending the camp, the focus will be entirely on off-ice sessions, which include dryland training, fitness-testing, and physical and mental preparation.

Northern Panthers claim the 2017 Female Bantam AAA Atlantic Championship
Moncton, NB – The 2017 Female Bantam AAA Atlantic Championship wrapped up today in Moncton, NB with the Northern Panthers winning a hard-fought battle against the Western Wind of PEI. The Panthers took a 2-1 lead into the third period and added an empty net goal late to win the game 3-1.

The best Atlantic Canadian Female Bantam AAA Hockey Teams to Square off this weekend for the 2017 Atlantic Championship.
Moncton, NB – With the Provincial Championships complete in the Atlantic Provinces the Female Bantam AAA Atlantic Championship is set to take place this Thursday April 6th – April 9th at the Crossman Community Centre in Moncton, NB.
The event will host the top Female Bantam AAA teams from Atlantic Canada as they compete for the chance to hoist an Atlantic Championship.

Fredericton, NB – Hockey New Brunswick is proud to announce the players who will make up the 2017 edition of the Male Under 16 team.
Team New Brunswick will be competing in the QMJHL Gatorade Excellence Challenge. The event will take place April 26th-April 30th in Blainville-Boisbriand, Quebec.
New Brunswick will be competing against the provincial teams from Nova Scotia, PEI, Newfoundland and Labrador, and two teams from Quebec.
